Does Google Consider My Website Mobile Friendly?

How can you tell if Google considers your website to be mobile friendly?

You know when you tap on a search result on your mobile phone and you are dropped on a page where the text is too hard to read because it’s too small?  This is the result of a page not being optimized for a mobile phone.

You can check by using your own smartphone, but that doesn’t exactly tell you what Google thinks about your page.

Well, you COULD ask a web designer.  They’d know for sure.  But what if you don’t have a web designer handy at the moment and you just NEED to know?
