Meet the Team: Josh Watson, Web Developer

Josh is our go-to for all things development. He has over ten years of experience in the industry and is constantly surprising us with his wealth of knowledge about development, design, and SEO. You can get to know Josh a little more by reading on:

How long have you been a part of the team?
Since December 2014

What’s your favorite part of your job?
I enjoy the challenge of interpreting clients’ views into an end product — from design to development. I feel that I’m making the internet a better place to visit one site at a time.

Josh has the best chair in the office and he’ll always let you know about it.

What are you doing when you’re not in the Lions’ Den?
I watch WAY too many documentaries on Netflix. I also play guitar, write songs, and doodle in my sketchbook. My wife and I enjoy spending time outdoors, fishing and camping.

If I’m not doing any of the above, I’m usually playing League of Legends or other computer games.

What industry skills are you currently honing?
Web design and development tools are always changing. I’m constantly trying to stay up-to-date on the latest technology as well as expanding into more complex web-based languages such as JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and other application based languages.

What’s your favorite Spotify discovery?
Stolen Dance by Milky Chance

Which LL project have you enjoyed most thus far?
It’s hard to pick just one. But if I had to choose, it would be: http://www.tohaveandtoholdtc.com/

I love minimalist designs and I feel that this site best portrays how white-space can be used to create a clean and comfortable experience.

Are you a coffee person or a beer person?
Neither. Energy drinks for me.

If you could develop any app, what would it do?
I would create a mind-reading app that could interpret any thought, vision, or idea into something tangible just by putting it to your forehead.

I’m not sure how one would go about developing such an app, but it sure would help!
